위 파일을 다운받아 설치하면 바탕화면에 아래와 같은 아이콘이 생성 됩니다.
이를 실행하면 아래와 같이 ISO 이미지를 지정하여 대상 USB에 간단하게 부팅이미지를 만드는 과정을 수행 합니다.

Windows 7이나 Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2를 지원하는 백신들을 찾아보기 힙듭니다.
이중 그래도 Windows 7이나 Windows Server 2008은 지원하는 제품이 점점 늘어나고 있습니다.
(얼마전에 나왔던 Microsoft Security Essential이 Windows 7 x86 및 x64를 지원 합니다. Microsoft Security Essentials 은 Windows Server 2008에 설치되지 않습니다.)

Windows Server 2008 R2는 64bit 버전 밖에 출시되지 않는데제가 알기로는 현재 공식 인증 받은 백신은 없습니다.
지원하지 않는 백신을 설치하면 낭패보기 일쑤 입니다.
(Windows Server 2008 R2에 V3Net for Windows Server를 설치했더니 원격 연결 세션을 끊어버리는 증상이 발생하였습니다.)

이럴 때 Forefront Client Security를 설치하면 유용하게 사용할 수 있습니다.

가끔 아주 가끔 다중 forest에 Exchancge GAL 동기화 요건이 있습니다.

ILM 2007이 Exchange에 대한 GAL 동기화를 지원하고 있습니다.
정확히 말하면 ILM 2007까지는 Exchange 2003에 대해 GAL 동기화를 지원하며 ILM 2007 FP1(Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 Feature Pack 1)은 Exchange 2007에 대해 GAL 동기화를 지원합니다.

ILM 2007 FP1은 이용한 GAL 동기화 시  Exchange 2007 SP1 Management Console 및 Windows PowerShell 1.0이 꼭 함께 설치되어야 합니다.

해당 내용에 대해 자세한 설명은 TechNet  Exchange 부분에 더 자세히 설명되고 있습니다.
(오히려 ILM에는 이 부분에 대한 자세한 설명이 없습니다.)

Exchange 2007 SP1의 GAL 동기화 시 ILM 2007 FP1을 이용해야 합니다.
이유인 즉 Exchange 2007에서는 Recipient Update Service가 더 이상 제공 되지 않기 때문 입니다.
GAL을 동기화 하더라도 Contact이 생성되지 않습니다.
ILM 2007 FP 1의 GAL 동기화 관리 에이전트는 Update-Recipient cmdlet를 자동으로 호출합니다.
(ILM 2007 FP 1 GAL 동기화에 의해 만들어진 받는 사람을 제공하기 위해 추가 단계를 수행할 필요는 없습니다.)

더불어 해당TechNet에 잘못된 내용이 있어 이를 고쳐 반영하시기 바랍니다.
내용인 즉 ILM 2007 FP1 관련 문서 내용들을 보면(MS 공식 문서 포함) Active Directory Management Agent 생성 시 Configure Extension에 있는 "Enable Exchange 2007 provisioning"이 있는데 Exchange 2007에 GAL 동기화를 위해서 체크 하라고 되어 있습니다. 하지만 TechNet에 있는대로 할 경우 절대 Contact는 동기화 되지 않습니다.

"Enable Exchange 2007 provisioning"을 분명히 UnCheck 하시기 바랍니다.


























"Enable Exchange 2007 provisioning"은 ExchUtil을 이용하여 Exchange 2007에 Mailbox를 Provisioning 하기 위해 사용 됩니다.

프로젝트 이름은 "Morro".

드디어 Beta가 공개 되었습니다.
정식 제품 이름은 "Microsoft Security Essentials".

현재 지원하는 언어는 영어, 이스라엘(영어), 중국어, 브라질어 입니다.
지원하는 운영체제는 Windows XP(32bit), Windows Vista(32bit, 64bit), Windows 7(32bit, 64bit) 입니다.
하지만 한국어 language pack이 설치되어 있더라도 정상 설치 됩니다.

# Microsoft Security Essentials Beta 설치 후 엔진 업데이트 및 설정 화면
- 설치 완료 후 바이러스 및 스파이웨어 정의 업데이트를 진행 합니다.




















- 정의 업데이트 후 스캔을 합니다. 우선은 Quick Scan으로 Windows\system32 만 합니다.




















- 메인 홈 화면 입니다. 실시간 보호 중 여부 및 정의 업데이트를 확인 할 수 있고 Scan 옵션을 정의하여 바로 스캔을 할 수 있습니다. 또한 아래 설정에서 스탠 스케줄을 설정할 수 있습니다.


















- 정의 최종 업데이트 시간 및 버전을 알려주며 바로 업데이트도 가능 합니다.




















- 바이러스나 스파이웨어 처리 결과를 보여주는 화면 입니다. (나중에 실제 파이러스를 실행하여 테스트 해봐야겠습니다. 어떤지...)



















- 설정 화면 입니다. 먼저 스캔 스케줄이군요~ 스케줄 돌기 전에 정의 업데이트 옵션도 있구요~




















- 각 경고 레벨 별로 어떻게 처리 할지 설정하는 화면 입니다. 기본으로 recommended action이 있고 Remove, Quarantine들로도 설정 할 수 있습니다.



















- 실시간 감ㅅ를 할 것인지 파일이나 프로그램 실행을 감시할 것인지 다운로드나 첨부된 파일을 감시 할 것인지도 있군요.



















- 중요한 부분이군요! 예외 파일 및 영역 설정.
로컬에 data 파일들이 존재 한다면 필히 설정해 주셔야겠죠~



















- 스캔 예외 할 파일 타입을 정의 할수도 있군요. 옿려 이런 부분은 상용보다 좋군요~




















- 예외 프로세스도 설정 가능 하구요.






















- 압축파일들에서 위해 파일들을 스캔할지, 외부 저장 장치도 검사할지, 문제 있는 파일을 조치할 때 복구 지점을 만들지, 모든 사용자가 히스토리를 볼수 있도록 할지 설정 합니다.


















- SpyNet에 가입할지 설정.




















아직 더 써봐야 알겠지만 우선 기능적으로 기존 상용에 부족한 부분은 없어 보입니다.
더불어 스캔시에도 CPU 및 메모리 점유율은 매우 낮습니다. CPU는 1~2% 정도.

앞으로 좀더 좋은 제품으로 발전하여 많은 분들이 사용할 수 있었으면 합니다.

Active Directory의 수많은 기능 중 사용자 계정 및 암호 관리 부분이 있습니다.
Active Directory에서는 사용자 계정에 대해 암호 정책을 통하여 사용자들의 암호 관리 기준을 그룹 정책으로 배포 합니다.
(참고로 Windows Server 2003까지는 단일 도메인에 하나의 암호 정책만 배포할 수 있었지만 Windows Server 2008에서는 여러 암호 정책을 배포 할 수도 있습니다.)

암호 정책을 구성하여 배포함으로써 회사 시스템 로그온 시 보안 강화 측면에서 효과를 거둘수 있습니다.

하지만 사용자들은 Windows를 로그온할 때 Domain의 계정에 대해 인증을 하게되는데 이때 암호를 분실하였을 경우 항상 관리자에게 요청하여 암호를 리셋하여야 하기에 관리자의 업무 부하를 가져올 수 있습니다. 여력이 되는 회사라면 Helpdesk를 두어 사용자 계정 암호 리셋을 해주겠지만 이에 대한 콜과 관리 비용이 만만치 않습니다.

이에 대한 방안으로 Toad로 유명한 Quest에서는 Password Manager이라는 솔루션이 있습니다.
이 솔루션은 사용자가 암호를 분실하였을 때 사용자 암호 관리 웹 페이지에 접속하여 자신이 설정해 놓은 암호 초기화 질문값에 응답을 하고 리셋할 수 있는 기능을 제공 합니다. 꼭 컴퓨터에 로그온해서 암호 관리 웹 페이지에 접속해야 하는 것은 아닙니다. Windows 로그온 창 옆에 별도의 App가 실행되어 이를 통한 암호 리셋 접근도 가능 합니다.

더불어 기본적으로 제공하는 암호 정책보다 강력한 정책을 만들 수 있으며 단일 도메인에선 다수의 암호 정책을 쉽게 운영할 수 있습니다. Windows Server 2008 및 64bit를  지원하며 다국어를 기본으로 지원(12개국) 합니다. (Windows Server 2008의 암호 정책을 통합 관리 할 수 있습니다.) 또한 암호 관리에 대한 메일 알림도 가능하며 현재 버전은 아니지만 다음 메지져 업그레이드 버전에서는 SMS를 지원할 예정 입니다.

또한 Quest Password Manager에 Quest InSync가 통합되어 Active Directory, Sun ONE Directory, RedHat Linux, HP-UX 등에 대해 암호 동기화를 지원 합니다.

ILM 2007은 다양한 시스템들과 동기화 할 수 있는 Interface를 제공 합니다.(아래 참조)
이중 Sun ONE Directory의 계정 정보를 원장으로 동기화 해야 하는 부분이 있었습니다.
ILM 2007의 Sun One Directory 지원 버전은  Sun ONE Directory Server 4.12, 4.13, 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 , Netscape Directory Server 4.1 and 6.11 입니다. 당시 고객사는  Sun One 5.2를 사용.

모든 데이터를 항상 Full 동기화 할 수 없기 때문에 변경 사항만을 파악하여 동기화 할 수 있는 기능을 Sun ONE에 대해 지원합니다. 이를 위해서는 changelog 라는 부분이 Sun ONE에서 Enable 되어 있어야 합니다.

If changelog is not enabled on Sun ONE Directory Server, Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 FP1 cannot support delta import operations.
The management agent for Sun and Netscape directory servers does not automatically detect changes made to the configuration of the Sun or Netscape directory server, such as enabling or disabling changelog. If you change the configuration of the Sun or Netscape directory server, you must refresh the management agent by using the Refresh button on the Configure Naming Context page of the management agent. For more information, see Configure Naming Contexts.

위의 붉은 부분이 해당 내용 입니다. 분명 changelog 라고...

여기서 간단히 changelog에 대해 설명을 드리면 Sun ONE은 changelog를 enable 했을 시 해당 시스템의 변경 사항에 대해 로그를 기록하며 ILM은 이 로그를 참고하여 변경사항을 확인하고 변경분(Delta)만을 동기화 할 수 있습니다.

changeLog 가 활성화 되어야 한다고 MS 기술자료에 명기되어 있으나 명확하게 정의하면 단순한 changeLog 가 아닌 Retro Change Log 가 Enable 되어야 합니다.

The change log is an internal record of all modifications on a given supplier replica that the server uses to replay modifications to the other replicas.
The contents of the change log are managed automatically by the server and will be updated through multi-master updates even after the server is restarted.
In earlier versions of Directory Server, the change log was accessible over LDAP. Now, however, it is intended only for internal use by the server.
If you have applications that need to read the change log, use the Retro Change Log Plug-in for backward compatibility.

Sun One Directory 5.2 버전의 경우 change log 를 Enable 하는 것이 아니라 반드시 Retro Change Log 를 Enable 하여야 ILM 2007 를 통하여 Delta Import가 가능합니다.

참고로 retro change log가 활성화 되고 Sun ONE의 변경 로그가 저장되는데 이는 계속적으로 누적됩니다. 그럼 ILM이 이 모든 누적로그를 동기화 하느냐? 그건 아닙니다. 로그에는 changeNumber라는 속성이 있으며 동기화 시 이 값을 저장하고 그 다음부터 동기화를 합니다. 만약 retro change log가 비활성되면 changeNumber는 리셋되며 이때는 Full 동기화를 해야 합니다.
