Synergy sharing

모니터를 뒤로 밀어버리고, 키보드와  모니터 사이에 노트북을 끼워넣었습니다.
노트북의 키보드는 사용하지 않습니다. synergy  를 사용해서, 데스크탑 키보드를 사용해서 노트북에도 입력합니다.

넷북이 사이즈가 작아서 이런 세팅이 가능하군요.

이렇게 쓰는게 전처럼 가로로 쭉 늘어놨을때보다  목에 피로가 덜합니다.
주로 위쪽 모니터를 보고, 오래 들여다보지 않는 것들은 아래쪽에 두면 좋군요.
근데 저처럼 쓰는 사람 꽤 있는 것 같습니다. zemanta 로 찾아보니 옆 그림처럼 쓰는 사람도 있구요.

사진처럼 노트북을 올려놓고 쓰려다 보니,
키보드 마우스를 추가로 살까 막 고민하고,
블루투스 키보드 마우스 셋트까지 막 생각은 했지만서도, 
그냥 키보드 마우스를 하나로 쓰기로 했습니다.

검색어는  synergy 
노트북은  windows XP, 데스크탑은 우분투 리눅스 와 버추얼박스 안의 windows XP . 

씨너지를 한글패치버전이란 걸 깔았음에도 불구하고, 한영전환 키가 제대로 안먹는 듯해서, 
시프트+스페이스  한영전환으로 모두 전환완료했습니다.  (노트북+우분투+버박안에 XP)

좀 깔끔한가요?

Dell mini 10 HDMI 출력

TV가 예전 LG 저가형인 관계로,
컴퓨터로부터의 출력은 D-SUB,HDMI 공히  1024*768 로밖에 받지 않는다.
검색해보니 다른 사람들은 잘만 나온다니, TV가 후져서 그런것.

뭐 1024*768을 16:9에 맞추어 좌우로 아나모픽  DVD 늘리듯이 늘린 다음에,
다음 팟플레이어나 곰플레이어에서 화면폭에 맞게 좁은 상태로 비율을 변환하여 출력하면 딱 맞도록 나오는데,

문제는 Dell mini 10은 CPU가 매우 딸리는 넷북인 관계로,
화면비율 변환을 담당하는 영상처리 필터를 켤 수 있을 정도의 CPU 파워가 없다는거...

그럼 1080p H.264 디코딩은 누가하는데요 라고 물어보면, GMA500 그래픽 칩이 한다고 대답하지요.

그 디코딩된 출력을 변환할 CPU파워는 없고, 그냥 바로 화면에 내보내야 한다는거...

TV용은 컴퓨터를 따로 하나 둬야 할듯.
TV용은 1080p 디코딩하는 blue-lay 플레이어+스트리밍 플레이어(곰티비무료영화등)
창고방에 처박아두고 쓰는 초저전력 nettop도 하나 있어야 할듯.
(10년된 노트북에 원격데스크탑 화면 제공+24시간 p2p)

I'm a librarian who deals mainly with kid's & teen books and have found that net time has eaten into TV time rather than book time. Once the kids are down, my wife and I settle down in front of the computers instead if the box.

저자가 책 읽는 시간이 줄었냐고 물어보니,
사람들은 책 읽는 시간 보다는 TV보는 시간이 줄었다고 대답.

나도 끄덕끄덕. 일부러 찾아보거나 VOD로 보는 경우 아니면, TV를 굉장히 적게 보게 됨.
