		<title><![CDATA[ bos.clvm.enh, alt disk ??? ]]> </title>

  HACMP(cluster) 구성간 ECM을 사용하는 경우가 요즘은 많다.<br />
<br />
이는 gsclvm 데몬을 통하여 node간의 VG정보를 sync한다.<br />
<br />
이와 관련하여 HACMP를 구성하기전에 bos.clvm.enh란 fileset을 OS CD로부터 깔아야하고<br />
<br />
HACMP 5.2 ?? 던가....에서는 cluster.clvm fileset도 있었던듯한데 기억이 가물가물하다.<br />
<br />
여튼간 해당파일셋을 설치하고 구성해야하니 유념...<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
그런데 alt disk를 했을 경우 이 fileset이 문제가 되는경우가 있다.<br />
<br />
다른 시스템으로부터 alt disk를 떠와서 HACMP를 구성하는 경우 gsclvm데몬이 정상적으로 동작<br />
<br />
안하는 경우가 있으므로 alt disk로 OS를 copy온 경우라면 해당 파일셋을 지웠다가 다시설치해주도록 하자.(smitty deinstall, smitty install_all로 지웠다 깔아주자)<br />
<br />
(뭔가 현재시스템의 serial???? 뭐 그런게 일치하지 않아서 생기는 일이라 했는데 굳이 알려고 하지 말자.안되는거다.)<br />
<br />
물론 아무일 없이 쓰고있는 사람에겐 해당안되겠지만 말이다.<br />
<br />
요즘은 고쳐졌나도 잘 모르겠다. 버릇처럼 다시 깔아 버리니까...<br />

		<title><![CDATA[ nodeid 재생성 (dlpar, rmc communication) ]]> </title>

  간간히 alt disk 등으로 OS를 다른시스템에서 카피해온경우 <br />
<br />
DLPAR가 정상적으로 안되는 경우가 있다. (다른 시스템과 nodeid가 충돌나서 둘중하나는 RMC통신이 끊어지는 현상)<br />
<br />
이럴땐 데몬을 내리고 nodeid를 재생성해주면 된다.<br />
<br />
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/lsnodeid&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (현재 nodeid 확인)<br />
<br />
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl -z&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (관련 데몬들이 stop된다.)<br />
<br />
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/mknodeid -f&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (보통 f - force 옵션을 주어야 재생성된다.)<br />
<br />
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl -A&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (관련 데몬들 start)<br />
<br />
HMC에서 lspartition -dlpar 커맨드로 해당 파티션들의 통신을 확인한다.<br />
<br />
<br />
위 작업이 끝나도 보통 시간이 오래걸리기도 한다.<br />
<br />
잘안될경우 HMC를 리부팅한 후<br />
<br />
서버에서 데몬들이 active 상태인지 확인하여, inoperate 상태나 죽어있다면 manual하게 살려주자 (startsrc -s &lt;subsystem&gt;)<br />

		<title><![CDATA[ mksysb 주의 및 restore 장애 ]]> </title>

  한국IBM CS&amp;TS 부서의 지강국 님이 작성하였습니다. <br><br>mksysb 관련 장애 대처요령 <br><br>서버장애 발생 후 복구가 필요한 상황에서 mksysb restore의 실패로 인해 애를 먹는 경우가 종종 발생하고 있습니다. <br>이와 관련하여 mksysb restore 성공을 높이기 위해서 필요한 내용과 실패하였을 때 가능한 대처방안등을 정리해 봅니다. <br><br>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb로 복구중에 다음과 같은 error가 발생하며 진행이 멈추는 경우 <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;Unpack: file out of phase&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;Unpack: internal unpacking error: decode failure <br><br>원인: 이러한 증상은 mksysb를 실행할 당시에 application data등이 특정파일을 open하여 변경하고 있었기 때문입니다. 이러한 파일의 압축을 풀려고 하면 unpacking error가 발생하면서 restore가 실패합니다. 따라서 mksysb를 받을 때는 가급적이면 offline에서 받도록 권고합니다. <br><br>대처방법: 이러한 error가 발생한 image로는 mksysb restore가 불가능합니다. 다른 mksysb image를 이용해서 복구하시거나 시스템을 다시 인스톨하시는 것이 방법입니다. 다만, 이러한 상황이 발생하는것을 미연에 방지하기 위해서는 'mksysb' 명령에 -p 옵션을 설정하셔서 software 압축을 사용하지 않도록 하는 것입니다. <br>(smitty mksysb 화면에서&nbsp;&nbsp;Disable software packing of backup?&nbsp;&nbsp;부분을&nbsp;&nbsp;YES 로 설정합니다.) <br>이럴경우 필요한 tape이 늘어날 수도 있겠지만 위와 같은 곤란한 경우를 미연에 방지하실 수 있습니다. <br><br>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb 실패후 tape에서 필요한 파일만 복구하는 방법 <br><br>일단 mksysb image로&nbsp;&nbsp;복구가 불가능할 경우 system을 재 설치해야 합니다. 이때 시스템 설정에 중요한 파일들을 따로 복구하고 싶을때에는 다음과 같은 절차를 이용하시면 기존의 mksysb에서 필요한 내용을 추출하실 수 있습니다. 특히&nbsp;&nbsp;/etc/*&nbsp;&nbsp;/home/* 등의 파일들이 있을 경우, 시스템을 신속히 복구하는데에 많은 도움이 됩니다. <br><br>1) Be sure the tape block size is 512 by entering the following command: <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;#&nbsp;&nbsp;lsattr&nbsp;&nbsp;-E&nbsp;&nbsp;-l&nbsp;&nbsp;rmt0 <br><br>2) If the block size is not correct, use the following command to set it to 512: <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;#&nbsp;&nbsp;chdev&nbsp;&nbsp;-l&nbsp;&nbsp;rmt0&nbsp;&nbsp;-a&nbsp;&nbsp;block_size=512 <br><br>3) Make sure the tape is rewound. If the tape is not rewound, enter the following command: <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;#&nbsp;&nbsp;tctl&nbsp;&nbsp;-f&nbsp;&nbsp;/dev/rmt0&nbsp;&nbsp;rewind <br><br>4) Extract the necessary files by entering: <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;#&nbsp;&nbsp;restore&nbsp;&nbsp;-xvq&nbsp;&nbsp;-s2&nbsp;&nbsp;-f&nbsp;&nbsp;/dev/rmt0.1&nbsp;&nbsp;./filename <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Note: The filename should be the full path and always preceded with a&nbsp;&nbsp;.(dot character) such as ./tapeblksz. <br><br>5) Rewind the tape by entering: <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;#&nbsp;&nbsp;tctl&nbsp;&nbsp;-f&nbsp;&nbsp;/dev/rmt0&nbsp;&nbsp;rewind <br><br>6) Change the block size back to its original value, if necessary <br><br>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb 관련 권고사항 <br><br>1)&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb 역시 offline 상태에서 받는 것을 권고 <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; mksysb가 백업을 수행하기 위해서&nbsp;&nbsp;/usr/bin/backup 명령을 사용합니다. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 이 명령을 수행하는 도중에 대상파일에 변동이 발생한다면, 이는 restore의 실패로 직결될 수 밖에 없습니다. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; offline backup을 정기적으로 수행한다면 이때 mksysb 역시 함께 받도록 권고합니다. <br><br>2)&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb 로 백업 수행시 -p 옵션 설정/사용 <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 정기적으로 offline mksysb를 수행하기 힘들 경우 -p 옵션을 설정하여, unpacking error가 발생하지 않도록 설정하시기 바랍니다. <br><br>3)&nbsp;&nbsp;rootvg는 가급적이면 가볍게 유지할 것 <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 가급적이면 application 관련된 filesystem은 external VG에 설정하시기 바랍니다. <br><br>4)&nbsp;&nbsp;TSM, netbackup, omniback 등의 backup solution의 백업대상에 rootvg에 속한 파일 시스템을 등록시킬 것 <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;mksysb관련된 장애가 발생하여 시스템을 다시 복구하는 경우 backup solution을 통해서 보존된 data를 무척 유용하게 사용할 수 있습니다.			 ]]>

  <p><strong><span style="COLOR: #008000">Unix 에서 Raw Device 사용법</span></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">RAW DEVICE 란</span></p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff"></span><br>흔히 유닉스에서 disk를 억세스하는 방법에 따라 block device(/dev/dsk) 와 raw device(/dev/rdsk) 로 구분을 합니다. 단어 그대로 이해를 한다면 block device에 블록은 파일시스템의 블록을 말하는 겁니다. 즉, Partition을 나누고 Mount Point를 잡을 때(흔히 window 환경에서 말하는 directory 를 말하는 것)의 논리적인 위치를 말하고, raw device는 Partition만 잡고 Mount Point가 없는 것을 말합니다.&nbsp;다시 말해서 raw device 위에 file device가 언쳐지는 것입니다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>OS 는 어플리케이션의 IO 요구에 따라 파일 시스템에서 읽어 오느냐 raw device(파일시스템 보다는 더 하위레벨)에서 읽어 오느냐가 억세스 방법에 의해서 차이가 있습니다. raw device는 파일시스템이 없기 때문에 당연히 파일, 디렉토리, 억세스컨트롤 등을 어플리케이션에서 직접 관리 해야 합니다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>로 디바이스를 데이타베이스에서 사용할 때 데이타 베이스는 자체적으로 블록과 익스텐트 등의 스토리지 관리 개념을 가지고 있기 때문에 OS레벨에서의 물리적인 데이타 파일 관리만 하면 됩니다.<br>(데이타 베이스에서 로디바이스를 사용하더라도 물리적인 디바이스(디스크)에 데이타 파일형태로 위치해야 하기 때문에 볼륨매니저 같은 가상 스토리지 개념이 필요합니다.)<br><br><br>block device access path<br>- Application&lt;-&gt;Library Buffer&lt;-&gt;Operation System Cache&lt;-&gt;File System Manager&lt;-&gt;Device<br><br>raw device access path<br>- Application&lt;-&gt;Device<br><br><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">RAW DEVICE 장점</span></p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff"></span><br>- RAW DEVICE 는 OS KERNEL 에 의해 BUFFERING 이 되지 않고 APPICATION 과 DEVICE 간에 </p><p>&nbsp; 직접 DATA 가 전송되므로 DISK I/O 성능 향상되고 CPU OVERHEAD가 감소된다.<br>- OS FILE SYSTEM 의 OVERHEAD 를 피할 수 있다.<br>- OS BUFFER SIZE 를 줄일 수 있다.<br>- FILE SYSTEM 보다 일반적으로 I/O 속도가 최고 40% 까지 빠르다.<br><br><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">RAW DEVICE 단점</span></p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff"></span><br>- SETUP 하기 어렵고 BACKUP 절차가 FILE SYSTEM 보다 복잡하여 관리가 어렵다.<br><br><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">ORACLE 에서의 RAW DEVICE 구성 시 주의할 점</span></p><p><br>- REDO LOG FILE, DATAFILE, CONTROL FILE은 RAW DEVICE로 구성하며 ARCHIVE FILE은 FILE DEVICE에 구성해야 한다. 왜냐하면 RAW DEVICE에는 한 개 이상의 FILE을 쓸 수 없기 때문이다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">Raw Device 파티션에 데이타 화일 생성하기<br></span><br>- 한 파티션 전체 공간을 오라클 화일로 사용할 수 있나?<br>불가능하며, 최소한 두 개의 오라클 블럭 크기를 남기고 사용할 수 있다.<br><br>예를 들어, 100M 크기의 파티션에 4K 오라클 블럭 크기를 갖는 최대의 데이타 화일을 생성하는 문장은 다음과 같다.<br><br>SQL&gt; create tablespace raw_tabspace datafile '/dev/raw1' size 102392K REUSE;<br><br>여기서 102392K 값의 산출 근거는 {(100 * 1024K) - 8K} 공식에 의해 구하여진다.<br><br>- Raw Device의 첫 번째 파티션을 사용할 수 있나?<br>사용하지 않을 것을 권고한다. 그 이유는 OS 종류나 버젼에 따라 디스크 파티션 테이블이나 논리적 볼륨 제어 정보등이 첫 번째 파티션을 관리될 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 OS 벤더의 자문을 받아야 한다.<br><br>- 파티션의 오너쉽은 어떻게 지정하여야 하나?<br>기본적으로 생성은 'root'로 수행하지만, 이후에 오너쉽 밑 그룹은 각각 oracle 사용자와 dba 그룹으로 지정하여야 한다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">RAC&nbsp;구성에&nbsp;Raw&nbsp;Device&nbsp;환경에&nbsp;datafile&nbsp;추가&nbsp;하기 </span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>SQL&gt; alter tablespace TS_NAME add datafile '/dev/rlvindb08002G008' size 2047M;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>2G짜리 Raw Device는 SIZE 가 2048M 이지만&nbsp;조금 작게 설정합니다. Raw Device 는 Raw Device 마다 header block을 가져야 하기 때문에 dbf size를 Raw Device 크기만큼 다 잡아 버리면 head block을 만들수 없어서 에러가 나기 때문입니다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">데이타베이스 화일 백업에 관하여<br></span><br>화일 시스템과는 달리 Raw Device에서는 'tar'나 'cpio' 명령을 사용할 수 없고, 반드시 아래처럼 'dd' 명령어를 사용하여야 한다.<br><br>% dd if=/dev/raw1 of=/dev/rmt0 bs=16k<br><br>하지만 'dd'로 백업된 화일에 대하여 'tar'나 'cpio' 명령을 사용하여 별도의 관리 방법을 수행할 수 있다.<br></p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff"></span>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">파일 운영하기<br></span><br>- Redo Log의 위치에 대하여?<br>Redo Log는 가장 쓰기가 활발하며 특성상 순차적으로 쓰기 작업이 일어나는 화일이므로 Raw Device 사용이 가장 권장된다. 특히 OPS 환경에서는 반드시 Raw Device에 관리되어야 한다.<br><br>- Archive Log의 위치에 대하여?<br>Archive Log는 특성상 화일 시스템에 저장되어야 한다.<br><br>- Raw Device 파티션에 두 개 이상의 화일을 저장할 수 있나?<br>가능하지 않다.<br><br>- 모든 파티션의 크기를 동일하게 지정할 필요가 있나?<br>데이타베이스 화일에 대한 파티션 지정 변경이 용이하다는 장점 외에는 일반적으로 권고되지 않는 방법이다.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div><span style="COLOR: #0000ff">RAW DEVICE SETTING 방법</span> </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>1. FREE DISK PARTITION 의 이름을 결정한다. </div><div>FREE PARTITION 은 OS FILE SYSTEM 에의해 사용 돤것이 아니어야한다. </div><div>2.
